How To Define Contacts

This is a new feature to mtext.net that allows you to store information about people with whom you communicate the most.  It is also used to assign short codes so that you can reduce the amount of typing on your SMS when you want to originate email messages from your mobile devices. Entries to My Contacts can be added in three different ways.

• From the screen below click on the "Add New Contact" button.  The Contact List entry screen will be shown where you can add a new entry.
• From the SpamGuard screen, click on the "Add to My Contacts" button.

• While reading email messages click on "Add to Contact List" to add to my Contact List link

Email Address	Fully qualified email address
Nickname	Combination of letters that you can use when originating email message from your SMS phone.  For example, if you have the above setting in your account instead of typing: e msmith@bigcorp.com Hello Michael, Happy New Year you would type e MS Hello Michael, Happy New Year
First Name	First name of the person
Last Name	Last name of the person
Mobile	Telephone number of your contact in international format 16047778888 where 1 represents country code, 604 area code (with no leading 0's) and 7778888 local telephone number.
