This process of registration is required
so that our system can recognize that an incoming SMS message,
arriving to one of our gateways is addressed to your account
and its content contains a message relevant to you. In other
words, each incoming SMS message, arriving to our gateways
is identified by the phone number of the sender. If this
phone is registered in our database (registered with an
account), our system will process incoming message on behalf
of that account. Otherwise, the message is treated as spam
and discarded.
You must register a phone with your
account if you want to:
- Send SMS text messages worldwide directly from your
phone - This allows you to send international SMS from
your phone despite the limitations imposed by your current wireless
provider (Sprint, Verizon, T-Mobile, Cingular, Telus and many
others)
- Save money - Many wireless operators will
charge you a great deal to send or even to receive international
SMS messages (in Canada and USA some operators charge $0.30
for each INCOMING SMS). By using your account your incoming
messages will be DOMESTIC and your operator will not charge
for them
- Send email from your SMS phones - You can
create email messages directly from your SMS phone
- Enable your friends to send you text messages from
their SMS phones - This allows your account to recognize
that an incoming SMS message, arriving to our SMS gateway is
addressed to you and should be directed to your account
- Record Calendar events or reminders from your SMS
phones - Post a calendar event to your calendar from
your phone
- Post blog entries from your SMS phones -
Post a blog entry to your favourite Blog from your SMS phone
- Forward important e-mail or incoming SMS messages
to your phone
